  ON WRITING ROMANCE is a must-read romance-writing manual that appears often on recommended books for writers or all genres. It is a fabulous breakdown of the romance genre, and is useful for authors writing within that genre or 4/5.   When I drafted my first suspense novel, my husband helped me craft the plot, which was a blast.   This is the most helpful book I've come across on writing romance. Susan May Warren writes the chapters in such a way that you can use it as a workbook to help you plan your next book. Not only does she give you questions to answer, but she gives examples from other romance stories. Her writing style is very practical and easy to apply/5(18).
